4.1 Managing Mail Accounts
After successfully installing, any NetWare users who exist in the bindery (whether on a
NetWare 3.x server, or in a NetWare 4.x server's bindery context) can send and receive mail
immediately. However, it is likely that you will need to customize your installation to
accurately reflect the users of your network.
Depending on your network environment, there are a variety of tasks that you may need to
perform before the Unoverica Message Transport mail system is fully integrated with your
network. Among these tasks are:
- Synchronize the NetWare user accounts with Unoverica Message Transport's
internal directory. For more information on this subject, refer to section 4.2
Synchronizing NetWare Accounts with Unoverica Message Transport's
Directory.
- Create user accounts on your mail system for non-local or non-NetWare users.
For more information on this subject, refer to section 4.3 Creating and Modifying
User Accounts.
- Establish recipient accounts for the system management aliases (including
postmaster, mailer-daemon, supervisor, admin and others), and create any
additional aliases required by your system. For more information on this
subject, refer to section 4.4 Managing Alias Accounts.
- Import and Export user accounts from remote Unoverica Message Transport
servers into another server's Unoverica Message Transport directory. For more
information on this subject, refer to section 4.5 Exporting and Importing User
Accounts.
STEP: To continue to the next step in the configuration process, go to section 4.2
Synchronizing NetWare Accounts with Unoverica Message Transport's Directory.
