5.2.1.1 Enable the "Use DNS lookups (OI)" Option

You must enable the "Use DNS lookups (OI)" option on Unoverica Message Transport in order for the mail server to recognize that DNS services are available. This is achieved through the use of Unoverica Message Transport's UCMCON.NLM management tool. To load UCMCON, type the following command at the NetWare console prompt:

 :LOAD UCMCON <Enter>

You will be presented with a screen similar to the one shown in Figure 5.3 below:

Select the "Configuration" menu item and press <Enter>. You will then be presented with a set of configuration menu choices similar to the one shown in Figure 5.4 below:

Select the "Options" menu option and press <Enter>. You will then be presented with a list of the currently defined options, similar to the one shown in Figure 5.5 below:

Use the <PgDn> key to scroll to the bottom of the list of currently-defined options and look for an entry titled "Use DNS lookups (OI)". If this option is not listed, press <Ins> to display a list of the undefined options. You will be presented with a screen similar to the one shown in Figure 5.6 below:

If the "Use DNS lookups (OI)" option was not available in the list of currently-defined options, then select it from the list of undefined options and press <Enter>. If the "Use DNS lookups (OI)" option was already in the list of currently-defined options, then select it from that list and press <Enter>. You should see a screen similar to the one shown in Figure 5.7 below:

You can select either "Yes" or "No" for this option. Selecting "No" disables Unoverica Message Transport's use of DNS for mail routing. Select "Yes" and press <Enter> to enable the option, and then press <Esc> to close the dialog box. If this option was not already listed in the currently-enabled list of options, then it will be added to that list automatically.

Continue pressing <Esc> until you exit UCMCON and are returned to the NetWare console prompt.
