3.3.2.1 Using INSTALL.NLM on NetWare 3.x
Once you have expanded the UCM.EXE self-extracting archive to its destination, load
INSTALL.NLM by executing the following command from the NetWare console prompt:
:LOAD INSTALL <Enter>
If you are on a NetWare 3.x server, you should see a screen similar to the one shown in Figure
3.1 below:
Figure 3.1 INSTALL.NLM's main menu (NetWare 3.x).
|
Select the "Product Options" menu item and press <Enter>. You will be presented with a list
of the products which are currently installed on this server, similar to the one shown in Figure
3.2 below:
Figure 3.2 INSTALL.NLM's list of currently-installed products (NetWare 3.x).
|
- Press <Ins> to add a new product. You will be presented with a dialog box
asking you to provide the directory containing the installation files.
- Enter the name of the temporary directory that you created on the NetWare
server in section 3.3.1.1 Extracting to the Server, or provide the drive letter for
the floppy drive on the NetWare server that contains the installation diskette
you created in section 3.3.1.3 Extracting to a Floppy Diskette. For example, if
you had created a temporary installation directory on the NetWare server called
SYS:/NEWNLMS/UCM211 then you would key that directory name
(including the volume) into this edit box.
STEP: To continue to the next step in the installation process, go to section 3.3.3 Unoverica
Message Transport's Installation Utility.
