3.3.3.1 Installing Licenses for Unoverica Message Transport

Once all of the files and directories have been created on the server, you will be presented with a list of the licenses for Unoverica Message Transport that are already installed on this server. If this is the first time that you have installed Unoverica Message Transport, then the list of available licenses will be blank, as shown in Figure 3.7 below:

At this point, you will need to define a license key to use with this server. These license keys are provided when you purchase the software, or when you download an evaluation version from Unoverica Corporation's web site.

To add a new license to the server, press <Ins>. You will be presented with the Unoverica Message Transport license option, similar to the one shown in Figure 3.8 below:

Select "Unoverica Message Transport" and press <Enter>. The license detail form will be displayed, similar to the one shown in Figure 3.9 below, allowing you to enter the information from your license key into the system:

  1. Enter the licensing details into the form. Be careful to enter any characters exactly as they are provided (lower and upper case), and also make sure to note the difference between numeric digits and alphabetic characters ("0" is different from "O"). Also, be sure to enter all of the information provided in your license, including any version, date and time restrictions, if provided.

  2. Once the licensing information has been entered, press <Esc>. The Unoverica installation utility will then validate the licensing information provided. If you entered an invalid license, then you will need to repeat the steps listed here. If you have entered the correct licensing information then you may have provided an invalid serial number when obtaining the license key. Contact Unoverica Corporation to verify that the license which you have been provided is valid for this server.

  3. Once a valid license has been provided, you will be returned to the main licensing screen. It should now display a new license, similar to the one shown in Figure 3.10 below:

Press <Esc> to exit the Unoverica installation utility, and to return to INSTALL.NLM. Continue pressing <Esc> until INSTALL.NLM unloads, and you are returned to the NetWare console prompt.

STEP: To continue to the next step in the installation process, go to section 3.4 Starting and Stopping Unoverica Message Transport.
