Unoverica Message Transport runs as a set of NetWare Loadable Modules (NLMs) on a NetWare server. These NLMs require NetWare 3.11, NetWare 3.12, NetWare 4.x, or IntranetWare. If you have a NetWare server but do not know what version of NetWare is installed, type the following command from the NetWare console prompt:
:VERSION <Enter>
This command will display the major and minor release version of the core NetWare operating system installed on the server.
NOTE: The version command will display IntranetWare servers as NetWare 4.11.
NOTE: If you do not have a supported version of NetWare, you will need to obtain and install a supported version prior to installing Unoverica Message Transport.
WARNING: If the NetWare server you wish to use for Unoverica Message Transport does not meet the minimum system requirements specified in this chapter, you will encounter problems during the installation or operation of Unoverica Message Transport. These problems may be minor annoyances, a lack of expected functionality (such as mail messages not getting delivered successfully), or total system failure resulting in lost data.
