4.3.2 Modifying an Existing User

The fields that you need to modify will vary depending on the task at hand. For more information on the fields in this form, refer to section G.3 Managing Unoverica Message Transport User Accounts.

  1. If you have duplicate NDS user accounts and need to change one of the Unoverica Message Transport user accounts so that it is unique, then you must change the "Mail Name" and "Ext Name" fields for one of the accounts so that it is different from the others.

  2. If you wish to have a user receive mail at a different domain than is the default, then you must change the "Ext Name".

NOTE: The domain name you use in the "Ext Name" field must be a domain name that the mail server will accept and deliver mail for.

Once you have finished, press <Esc> to close the form. The changes you made are stored in the directory immediately.

STEP: If you need to modify another user account, repeat the steps listed above. If you need to add a new user account to the directory, go to section 4.3.1 Adding a New User. If you need to disable or delete a user account, go to section 4.3.3 Disabling a User. To continue the configuration process, go to section 4.4 Managing Alias Accounts.
