4.4.2 Managing Internal Aliases

Managing alias accounts stored in the Unoverica Message Transport directory is achieved through the use of UCMCON.NLM management tool. To load UCMCON, type the following command at the NetWare console prompt:

:LOAD UCMCON <Enter>

You will be presented with a screen similar to the following:

Select the "Configuration" menu item and press <Enter>. You will then be presented with a set of configuration menu choices similar to the following:

Select the "Directory" menu option and press <Enter>. You will then be presented with a list of directory-specific choices, similar to the following:

To add, edit or delete alias accounts from the directory, select the "Aliases" menu and press <Enter>. You will then be presented with a list of the currently-defined users. If you have not yet defined any local users in the Unoverica Message Transport directory, then the list will be empty.

There are two basic operations that you can perform on an alias account:

STEP: If you need to manage an internal alias account, go to section 4.4.2.1 Managing Alias Accounts. If you need to manage an internal alias recipient, go to section 4.4.2.2 Managing Alias Recipients. If you need to manage aliases stored in external text files, go to section 4.4.3 Managing External Alias. To continue the configuration process, go to section 4.4.4 Modifying the System Management Alias Accounts.
