4.4.2.2 Managing Alias Recipients

Once an alias has been defined, you can manage the recipients of that alias. You can:

4.4.2.2.1 Adding Alias Recipients

In order for an alias account to function, you must add at least one alias recipient, indicating the user account(s) that are to receive mail sent to the alias account. To add a new recipient to an alias, select the alias account you wish to modify and press <Ins>. You will then be presented with a menu similar to the following:

Select the "Add Alias" menu option, and press <Enter>. You will then be presented with a form similar to the following:

You can define three different types of recipient address:

Once you have added the recipient account(s), press <Enter> and then press <Esc> to close the edit box.

4.4.2.2.2 Modifying Alias Recipients

To modify an existing alias recipient, select it from the list of alias recipients shown in Figure 4.38, and press <Enter>.

4.4.2.2.3 Deleting Alias Recipients

To modify an existing alias recipient, select it from the list of alias recipients shown in Figure 4.38, and press <Del>. Unlike alias accounts, you cannot disable an alias recipient, but must delete it instead.

STEP: If you need to manage another alias recipient, repeat the steps described above. If you need to manage aliases stored in external text files, go to section 4.4.3 Managing External Alias. To continue the configuration process, go to section 4.4.4 Modifying the System Management Alias Accounts.
