F.3.1 System-defined Macros

Some macros are built by the system automatically when Unoverica Message Transport is first loaded, or while an e-mail message is being processed by Unoverica Message Transport. These macros include things like the system’s date, the version of SENDMAIL in use, the message sender’s e-mail address, etcetera. Some of these macros can be redefined by the system administrator, and some of them cannot. Figure F.10 below lists some of the system-defined macros, their purpose, and whether or not they can be redefined.
