F.4.5 User-defined class $w (Cw)

Description:

The $w class contains all of the hostnames that the local system is known by. Incoming mail is then compared to the list of hosts found in the $w class. If a mail message is for a user on a host that is listed in the $w class, local delivery is attempted. Otherwise, external delivery over SMTP is assumed.

The $w class normally only includes "localhost", but can also include the host’s hostname alone, the domain name the host is in, the fully-qualified hostname (the hostname and the domain name together), and any other hostnames you may wish to use.

Default:

localhost

Notes:

If you wish to configure Unoverica Message Transport to accept incoming mail that is addressed to user@domain.com, then you will need to add the domain name to the $w class. If the domain name is the same as the host’s local domain, you may wish to reference the $m macro instead of typing the domain name explicitly.

For instructions on configuring Unoverica Message Transport to process mail for an entire domain, refer to section 4.2 Routing Mail for a Domain.
